DOMICILIARY CARE
Why choose domiciliary or home care support?
People choose home care support because it helps you to maintain your independence without leaving the comfort of your own home and the company of family and friends. This
way you are also supported to make choice and have control of decisions affecting your everyday life.
In order to achieve this, we will provide some or all of the following services to support you or your loved one:
* Washing, bathing and grooming
* Meal preparation
* Hoovering
* Emptying & taking out the bins
* Support with pets
* Laundry & ironing
* Changing beds and linen
* Daily tidying & washing up
LIFE SKILLS
We place a lot of emphasis on emancipating our service so that they can lead happy and meaningful lives. It is of paramount importance to emancipate our service users so that they can lead fulfilling lives. We support the growth of practical abilities including self-awareness, critical thinking, and conflict resolution. We accompany the client as they as they work to increase their self-esteem and confidence. The idea of independence is important to us at Devotion Integrated Care. We engage our service users in activities that promote social interaction so that the service users preserve their social fibre to maintain and retain social skills vital to foster a sense of community belonging.
COMPANIONSHIP
At Devotion Integrated Care, we understand the challenges of getting older, or having poor mobility and are advocates of our clients helping them to maintain their independence as long as possible. That’s why our team are here to offer general companionship and support
to you or your loved one if you need it. We will encourage you to remain sociable while living life to the full. Our team will support you by providing the following services:
* Getting out and about: local day trips garden centres, cafes and so on.
* Help in the home: grocery shopping, preparing light meals
* Brightening your day by watching your favourite films, tea and cake or listening to your favourite music.
*Telephone support: someone to speak to or welfare checks
DEMENTIA CARE
We understand that caring for people living with dementia can be challenging and stressfulin the absence of the right care and support.
At Devotion Integrated Care we recruit people who are compassionate and sensitive to theneeds of you or your loved one to live well with dementia in the comfort your home. Webelieve in giving you or your loved one the ability have control over your life choices and
decisions and have our staff ready to support you to make this happen.
We aim to gain a very good understanding of your life story, what you like and dislike, your interests and most importantly your values. We will also involve your family and friends
wherever possible to ensure that we have an all-round picture of your current life and needs. On the basis of this we agree with you a Care and Support Plan based on your strengths which is tailored to meet your care and support needs on day-to-day basis. The
care and support will include help with personal care, washing and bathing, administrationof medications, shopping and access to the community for various activities.
Our staff supports you to enjoy your everyday life in the comfort of your own home.
